About us

The purpose of CSIG is to...

1. Provide medical students at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with career counseling and development opportunities such as shadowing, networking, guest speakers, research opportunities, and other pertinent information in the field of cardiology.2. Organize and run community service activities in order to give back to the San Antonio community and to promote cardiovascular health in the community.3. Meet and discuss current events in the field of cardiology.

  • Thursday, September 1 from 12-1pm:
    GM #1 - Officer Introductions & Project HEART Training

  • Weekly on Mondays from 1:10-1:55pm beginning September 12:
    Project HEART - Teach 3rd graders at Bob Hope Elementary about the heart & heart healthy behaviors

  • Wednesday, September 21 from 12:30-1:30pm:
    GM #2 - Cardio Chat with Dr. Tsai: The Pathway to Cardiology

  • Wednesday, November 16 from 12-1pm:
    GM #3 - Cardiac Anatomy Camp

  • February 6 to February 11: Candy Grams Fundraiser
